Swim Deep have shared their new single “To Feel Good”, the first track to be taken from their brand new album “Emerald Classics” which is due out on October 4th, 2019 on their newly formed label imprint Pop Committee through Cooking Vinyl.

“To Feel Good” is a stylistic departure for the band, with vocalist Austin Williams narrating in spoken word, exploring his every day life back when he was 18.  Imagine Swim Deep mixed with The Streets and you’ll get the picture. It’s a brilliant epic track and Austin is backed him up is Margate’s Social Singing choir on the track as they sing the chorus “Everybody’s Free // To Feel Good

“Emerald Classics” is the first album from Swim Deep in 4 years, following up from 2015’s “Mothers”. Since then the band went on a hiatus and went through some personnel changes with long-time members Zack Robinson and Tom “Higgy” Higgins leaving the band.

The band are facing a rebirth as they now come together as a five piece, with ex-Childhood drummer Tomas Tomaski and guitarist Robbie Wood, joining Austin Williams, Cavan McCarth and James Balmont

The first effort from the new line-up “Emerald Classics” was recorded on the South East Kent coast over a three week period late last summer with Dave McCracken presiding over production duties – who has worked with everyone from Ian Brown to Beyoncé and proceeded to meld the pop sensibility of their debut and the burned out psychedelia of their second – as Austin recognises; “He’s a very vital part of this record. Maybe the most vital.”
