Ruby Fields – Dinosaurs

Ruby Fields

Following up to the excellent debut EP “Your Dad’s Opinion For Dinner”, Australian singer-songwriter Ruby Fields returns with the stunning “Dinosaurs”.

A more introspective, vulnerable track “Dinosaurs” sees Ruby explore her fears and insecurities compared to the free-spirit nature she had as a child.

I used to love dinosaurs when I was a kid
I wasn’t afraid I was brave and courageous with everything I did

The track is stripped bare for the first few minutes with Ruby showcasing some gorgeous vocals with just a hint of vulnerability, slowly building emotion over the atmospheric track as time goes on until the last few minutes of the track where the drums kick in and elevate the track to anthem status. It’s the kind of song that you could imagine being the big live set closer.

It’s an absolute winner and is a sure signal that 2019 is going to be another big year for her.
