NEWS: Sleaford Mods will play grassroots venues to celebrate 10th anniversary of breakthrough LP

This year marks the 10th anniversary of Sleaford Mods‘ excellent “Divide and Exit” album – undoubtedly the record that helped break the duo into the mainstream. They will be releasing a limited edition anniversary edition of the LP on 26th July and you can pre-order that now from their website.

Remember the lyrics to “Elocution” from their 2021 LP “Spare Ribs”?

“Hello there, I’m here today to talk about
The importance of independent venues
I’m also secretly hoping that by agreeing
To talk about the importance of independent venues
I will then be in a position to move away
From playing independent venues”

Well, Jason and Andrew will be playing a string of intimate, grassroots venues at the end of the year as part of the celebrations.

The band will also be sub-headlining the Woodsies tent at this year’s Glastonbury Festival just before headliners Gossip take to the stage.

Sleaford Mods play:

19 November – Sheffield – The Leadmill
20 November – Edinburgh – La Belle Angèle
21 November – Newcastle upon Tyne – University of Northumbria
23 November – Liverpool – The Florrie
26 November – Lincoln – The Drill
28 November – Exeter – The Lemon Grove
29 November – Portsmouth – The Wedgewood Room
30 November – Nottingham – Bodega
