Singer/songwriter Griff won the BRIT Award for Rising Star back in 2021. Since then, she’s released several singles and a mixtape and toured extensively but there’s been no sign of an album. Later winners of the award, Holly Humberstone and The Last Dinner Party, have released their debut records to critical acclaim and commercial success in the meantime and it was beginning to feel like Griff had been left behind.
Today, Griff has announced that her debut album “Vertigo” will finally be released on July 19th. Speaking about the record, Griff says “Every song has been written from an emotional sense of vertigo- that dizzy upside down sensation that heartache often leaves you with.”
The album will include recent single “Miss Me Too” with a chorus as huge and pop-tastic as anything Carly Rae Jepsen or Lorde have done.
Griff has announced a UK tour to go along with the record which includes a huge date at London’s Alexandra Palace. Griff will play:
NOVEMBER
08 Glasgow, O2 Academy
09 Birmingham, O2 Academy
10 Bristol, O2 Academy
12 Manchester, Academy
13 London, Alexandra Palace
“Vertigo” is out on July 19th. Pre-order it now for pre-sale access to tour tickets.
