Indie legends Maxïmo Park have shared a new single as a one-off 7″ vinyl “Great Art” whilst providing details of an upcoming singles tour called “Sïngular”.
Over the last 18 years, Maxïmo Park have released seven studio albums which have spawned 27 singles. This October they are heading out back on tour where the setlist will be singles-only, consisting of absolute classics such as early singles “Apply Some Pressure”, “Our Velocity” all the way through to more recent tracks such as “All Of Me” from their latest album, “Nature Always Win”.
To celebrate the art of the single, they have released a brand new one-off track called “Great Art” which according to frontman, Paul Smith, “…is about the insidious nature of Conservative ideology, and a response to people who say, “at least we’ll get some great art out of it!” We’re excited to have new material to play alongside our other singles on the Sïngular tour – we’ve always written songs crammed full of hooks, so that’s our ideal medium in some ways.”
