LA rising stars Liily have shared the new video for their most recent track “Sepulveda Basin” which was released in January.
The track is “about the pleasures of living in the greatest place in the world: the San Fernando Valley” and the new visuals help explore this with a lo-fi, old school home video where the musicians wander aimlessley around the city, exploring the local landmarks. The track is reminiscent of early Foals with a groovy, synth feel behind angular guitars.
Speaking of the video, Liily commented “this video is about a place we all spent a lot of time in when we were kids and bored out of our minds and looking for friends and something / anything to do.”
“Sepulveda Basin” is the third track to be released from the band following on from “Toro” and “Sold” which were shared in 2018. All three tracks are featured on their forthcoming debut EP “I Can Fool Anybody In This Town“, due out on March 8 via Southern California-based indie label Flush Records.
The tracklisting for the new EP is:
1. Toro
2. The Weather
3. Sepulveda Basin
4. I Can Fool Anybody In This Town
5. Nine
6. Sold
