The most exciting new country artist, Colter Wall, has returned with his first new track since last year’s astonishing self titled debut album.

Plain to See Plainsman” is the lead single from the upcoming “Songs Of The Plains” album which is due out October 12th on Young Mary’s Record Co. and Thirty Tigers.

It sees Colter Wall keeping his signature sound and country themes, as his husky voice explores the idea of a wanderer with no shackles dreaming of returning home:

Let me die in the country that I love the most
I’m a plain-to-see plainsman, and this I will boast
A heart that lies far from the east or west coast
This plain-to-see plainsman is longin’ for home
Longin’ for home

The album, “Songs Of The Plains”, will explore Colter’s hometown as he stated in a press release “One thing I’ve noticed over the last few years, in the United States and playing in Europe, is that people all over the world really don’t know much about Canada at all. When you talk about Saskatchewan, people really have no idea. Part of it is because there are so few people there. It’s an empty place ii it makes sense that people don’t know much about it. But that’s my home, so naturally I’m passionate about it. With this record, I really wanted people to look at our Western heritage and culture.”

The album is produced by legendary Nashville producer Dave Cobb who has produced albums from Jason Isbell and The Lone Below:
