Circa Waves share the video for new single “Movies”

In the build up for Circa Waves third studio album, “What’s It Like Over There?” which is due out April 5th via Prolifica Inc. / PIAS, they have released a couple of banging new singles.

The most recent track, “Movies“, has now got an official video which has been released today. The video plays homage to some of the bands favourite movies, including A Clockwork Orange, Resevoir Dogs, and shows the band are back in full force and determined to have fun in the process.

Frontman Kieran Shudall stated that “The Movies video was about us having fun, essentially spending all our filming budget on a dressing up box. Whilst doubling up as a showreel for when we all individually want to break into Hollywood. It is an homage to the Movies we’ve loved growing up. I thought to dress up as Louise would be me putting myself out of my comfort zone, but I’ve never felt more at home. Its a video that celebrates Film and not taking this music biz too fucking serious.”

“Movies”, which premiered on Annie Mac’s Radio 1 show, is bound to please their fans with a sound more inline with their previous efforts but with the lyrics referencing classic films with lines such as “Could you be the rebel without a cause? // Could you be the woman I’m falling for?”.

However, “What’s It Like Over There?” promises to bring fresh new sounds for the band who are now on their third album with the likes of ‘Sorry I’m Yours’ and ‘Be Somebody Good’ set to Circa Waves experiment with a new progressive sound that will surprise and delight in equal measure.
