Circa Waves announce intimate in-store gigs.

Circa Waves

Circa Waves have announced a string of intimate in-store gigs around the UK in support of their forthcoming 3rd studio album What’s It Like Over There?, out April 5th via PIAS.

The series will see the four-piece take to the road in early April, kicking things off at Kingston’s New Slang, Pryzm on April 4th, the day before the album is set to drop. They’ll then head to hometown Liverpool for a special performance with the full band at Jacaranda Phase One, before visiting record stores in Nottingham, Preston, Sheffield, Leeds, Southsea, Brighton, Wokingham, St Albans, Newcastle and Edinburgh. The in-stores are a great opportunity for fans to see stripped-back performances of tracks from What’s It Like Over There, as well as meet the band and buy signed copies of the album.

Four days after their final in-store in Edinburgh the band will be embarking on a 9 date sold-out UK tour in support of the album, which will see them play gigs in Oxford, Nottingham, Glasgow, Manchester, Sheffield, Birmingham, Bristol and Newcastle, with a landmark show at London’s Roundhouse on April 26th.

Recorded in just one month and renewing their blossoming co-production relationship with Alan Moulder (Foals, The Killers), What’s It Like Over There?’ is an album that’s creatively unshackled and refuses to stay still. It fuses the visceral thrill of rock music with a slick pop sound, its themes of modern ennui, emotional fragility and all the inside-outs and upside-downs of relationships making it a record that could only have been made now.
