Kurt Vile returns with “Loading Zones”, his first new solo track in three years.
It’s the first new material since his team up with Courtney Barnett on their collaborative album “Lotta See Lice” which was released in 2017 and his first track on his own since “b’lieve i’m goin down” back in 2015.
“Landing Zones” sees Vile return with his signature slacker rock and jangly guitar sound with a few new effects behind the epic whammy-bar guitar solo during the end of the track.
Accompanying it is the video directed by Drew Saracco, featuring actor Kevin Corrigan (The Departed and Goodfells) and Matt Korvette of hardcore punk band Pissed Jeans.
The video mirrors the story behind the lyrics as Kurt Vile showcases his illegal parking tactics in his hometown Philadelphia whilst Saracco and Corrigan play two cops whose attempts to ticket Kurt’s vintage car are constantly outmanoeuvred.
