Rising soul star, Jalen Ngonda, was recently forced to postpone his biggest UK tour to date at the last minute due to a sore throat. The run of sold out shows was due to begin in Brighton on 15th April when early arrivals in the queue outside were informed that the show would not be going ahead.
Jalen shared an update on his Instagram stories (below) in which he advised that it was “just impossible to perform”.
The next day, Jalen’s management shared the unfortunate news that the rest of the UK tour – including a sold out date at London’s Koko – would all have to be postponed “on Doctors orders”.
Whilst no announcement has been made on social medias, venues are now emailing ticket holders with details of the rescheduled dates and we can confirm that Jalen Ngonda will now play:
May 22 – Koko, London
May 30 – Concorde 2, Brighton
June 7 – University Students’ Union, Newcastle
June 8 + 9 – Band on the Wall, Manchester
June 13 – Wardrobe, Leeds
June 21 – The Crossing, Birmingham
June 23 – Trinity, Bristol
July 10 – Summerhall, Edinburgh
July 11 – Òran Mór, Glasgow
The shows are all sold out but do keep an eye out for returned tickets from those unable to attend the rescheduled dates.
