Willie J Healey Announces UK Headline Tour Following Critical Acclaim for ‘Bunny’

Already heralded as a favorite among some of the UK’s most esteemed artists, including Alex Turner, Joe Talbot of IDLES, Jamie T, and Florence Welch, Willie J Healey’s latest album ‘Bunny’ has captured the hearts of both fans and critics alike. Drawing inspiration from the likes of Sly and The Family Stone, David Bowie, Outkast, and Beck, Healey’s unique style has garnered widespread acclaim, culminating in accolades such as the 6 Music Album of the Year award and support from industry heavyweights like Jack Saunders and Greg James.

Now, following the success of ‘Bunny’, Willie J Healey is set to embark on a new UK headline tour this May, bringing his electrifying live performance to towns across the country. With previous tours boasting sold-out shows and triumphant scenes, including a headline show at London’s Brixton Electric, Healey is eager to introduce even more audiences to the full ‘Bunny’ experience. Notably, 2023 saw him share the stage with the likes of Florence + The Machine, Arctic Monkeys, and Jamie T, further solidifying his status as a rising star in the music scene.

Reflecting on the upcoming tour, Willie J Healey remarks, “Bunny tour round two! I feel lucky to be diving deeper into the depths of the UK, I’m intending on blowing doors off hinges.”

Healey’s diverse back catalogue showcases his evolving musical style, from the lo-fi indie-pop of his debut album ‘People and Their Dogs’ to the darker alt-folk sound of the ‘666 Kill’ EP and the George Harrison and Neil Young-inspired ‘Twin Stereo’. With ‘Bunny’, Healey puts a contemporary spin on Philly soul and ’70s R&B, collaborating once again with regular producer Loren Humphrey (known for his work with Florence + The Machine, Arctic Monkeys, and Lana Del Rey).

In addition to the headline UK tour, Willie J Healey is set to grace the stages of various summer festivals, including Truck, Tramlines, and Boardmasters, with more dates expected to be announced soon.

Tickets for all shows will be available for purchase starting this Friday, February 16th.
