ALBUM OF THE WEEK: LIANNE LA HAVAS – ‘LIANNE LA HAVAS’ (17th July 2020)

It has been 5 years since soulful singer/songwriter, Lianne La Havas, was engaged in a close race for the Number 1 album with indie heroes The Maccabees. Her 2nd LP, ‘Blood’, was pipped to the post and ended up at #2.

It’s been a while but she’s finally back with her 3rd album. This self-titled effort continues her winning streak of timeless, tender music. Like the previous two albums it’s soulful but with streaks of folk and art-rock. It’s the sort of record that you could recommend to almost anyone you know and they’ll find something in it they like.

Prince loved her and so do we. Check out ‘Can’t Fight’ from one of the records of the year below.
