Phoebe Bridgers has returned with her first new (solo) song since 2017, “Garden Song”.
The track is the first to be taken from her upcoming second album but since then Bridgers hasn’t been resting on her laurels, she’s released an EP as part of supergroup boygenius with Lucy Dacus and Julien Baker, an album as part of Better Oblivion Community Center with Conor Oberst and recently featured on “Walking On A String” with The National’s Matt Berninger.
“Garden Song” dropped today after a live YouTube premier with a video directed by Bridgers’ brother Jackson and kicks off with Phoebe taking a hit on a bong before things get weird in the background, featuring an appearance from comedian Tig Notaro.
Bridgers is on tour this year with The National and supporting The 1975 at Finnsbury Park on 11th July.
